WASHINGTON (AP) -- Slowly, painfully and reluctantly, congressional Democrats are slogging their way toward acceptance of President Barack Obama's tax cut compromise, which would let rich and poor Americans keep Bush-era tax cuts that were scheduled to expire this month.

This entire charade the Democrats and Obama have created over the Bush tax cuts to deliberately misrepresent the bill as a tax cut for the "millionaires and billionaires" again illustrates what Democrats have always believed: That all money belongs to Washington and they determine what people should get.

This entire charade by the Democrats and Obama has been staged from the outset to cloud who is in power in Washington (it's still the Democrats until January) so as to allow Obama to put his two cents into the Bush tax cut bill so that it now becomes his.

When the economy benefits in 2011 because of the Bush tax cuts not expiring, Obama can take the credit.

The careful wording in the excerpt - "Obama's tax cut compromise" is clearly an attempt to begin removing the word "Bush" from the title and replacing it with "Obama."
