If We the People are 'Extremists,' Then Let There be More of Us!
Posted: April 3, 2011, 7:54PMThe budget battles for 2011 and 2012 is proving how destructive and diabolical the Democrat Party is today. First, the one that everyone is talking about because of the government shutdown that the Democrats and the media have promoted as a Republican-created apocalypse, is the 2011 budget that the Democrats chose not to pass prior to the November midterm elections.
It comes down to this: get out of their way and let the Democrats pass another massive, irresponsible and reckless spending bill that will continue to destroy the financial structure of this country, or blame the Republicans for not going along thus causing the government to shut down.
Let's not forget that this is the budget that the Democrats chose not to pass prior to the November midterm elections. This is their budget. The Republicans are announcing their 2012 budget on Tuesday, but more on that shortly.
The misconception here that the Democrats and the media have created is that the government simply closes up shop and everyone goes home. That is not the case, rather the Executive Branch determines which services continue to function and which ones do not. The government does NOT shut down.
For months, the Democrat leadership in Pelosi, former Democrat Committee Chairman Howard Dean, Chuck Schumer, Harry Reid and others have been prodding for a shutdown if the Republicans do not work with them to pass their 2011 budget. This is done to put pressure on the Republican Party to either cave on it's spending cut proposals toward the 2011 budget, or force the government to shutdown. The Democrats think the Republicans will be blamed for it like they were in 1995 as Obama can pick and chose which services to shutdown. Look for those services to be the ones that will fit the Democrat's media campaign of blaming the Republicans.
How long will it take senior citizens to agree it's the Republicans when Obama choses to halt Social Security checks? Imagine the options that Obama will have to hit the American people where it hurts most while the media and the Democrats flood the airwaves and headlines 24/7 that the mean Republicans are starving the elderly and children and doing all these evil things to the American people.
By now, you get it. We've heard it before. Will it work again in this climate as it had in 1995?
On Tuesday, Paul Ryan is going to announce the Republican's 2012 budget that will represent more than $4 trillion of spending cuts over 10 years. If the Democrats can't agree to accept the Republican's fig-leaf offering of a mere 2-cent-on-the-dollar spending cut out of their multi-trillion dollar spending behemoth they have compiled again for 2011, what might they have up their sleeves to force the Republicans to cave on their own 2012 budget?
Chuck Schumer wants to paint the Tea Party and Conservatives as "extremists."
Does anybody think that the way the Republicans have dealt with this budget impasse as "extreme?" The "extremists" here when talking about budget as "extreme" is the way Obama and the Democrats have irresponsibly dealt with federal spending.
Let's be clear about this, can we? Can we just say it like it is right now? Let's get it all out on the table once and for all right now. The Democrat Party is a disaster. They are destructive and diabolical. Barack Obama as a Democrat, as a socialist, is a disaster for our country. He and the Democrat Party are destroying the economic well-being of this nation. Obama and the Democrat Party are destroying the economic well-being of millions of American families.
They have spent nearly $5 trillion in the last few years that we do not have, yet want us to believe that we all have to be sensible here and cut a few billion dollars here and a few billion dollars there otherwise force a shutdown that they can blame on the Republicans.
Who are the "extremists" here? The REAL unemployment in this country is around 20%. Despite trillions of dollars in deficits, massive government expansion, all kinds of programs supposedly to fix things that didn't need fixed; we had TARP, we had "stimulus" 1 then "stimulus" 2 that were supposed to create jobs when everybody knew that it would not create private sector jobs. It was a money laundering operation to make sure that state and federal employees did not lose their jobs so that their union dues were continually paid because those union dues end up in the various campaign headquarters and coffers of the Democrat Party.
The "stimulus" was a slush fund. It was a percentage of a pile of money earmarked for the Democrat Party under the guise of creating jobs, rebuilding schools and infrastructure. It was for the roads and bridges that none of which has happened. It was never going to happen because it was never earmarked for that. It was just said to be earmarked for that.
So what happened when there was no noticeable improvement? They came back for more. No admission that maybe it didn't work. Obama came back for more. (Again, Say it Ain't So, Bo. $50 Billion More for Planes, Trains and Automobiles!).
The Democrat Party is at war not with the Republicans. They are not at war with the Tea Party while calling them "extremists." The Democrat Party is at war and taking on every family in this country. The Democrat Party, as it attempts to prevail on issues that matter most to it, are taking a direct aim at every family, every parent, every child, because when the Democrat Party succeeds with this agenda, it is the people of the United States who suffer.
But it is the Tea Party who are "extremists." The Tea Party made up of every-day, middle-class, citizenery of this country. Hard-working American's; the Tea Party is the backbone of this country.
We are the "extremists."
It is Obama and the Democrats that have driven this country to the brink of bankruptcy and instability. They have leased our country out to China via massive debt. They have destroyed Social Security and Medicare. They are destroying the value of the US dollar. They are destroying the housing market, and we have to hear that we are the "extremists?"
The Democrat Party and Obama have populated the federal courts with the most radical lawyers in the country. They have encouraged massive bureaucracy to rule over us through endless regulations like Cap and Trade. They've caused millions of people to lose their jobs, to lose their businesses, their investments, and we are the "extremists?"
My God, take a look! Take a look at what has happened since the Democrat Party took control of this country starting first in 2007 with Pelosi in the House and then Obama in 2009. Just take an honest look at what has happened, and through most of those years there is not one thing that could have been done to stop them by democratic measures because the Republicans did not have the votes.
Just take a look. The number of people living in homes is at an all-time low. Home vacancies and foreclosures are at all-time highs. The greatest danger that our children and grandchildren face today is not from bullies, it's from the Democrat Party. The massive printing of paper from their reckless and fast spending, the massive debt we owe China, the massive debt that we owe ourselves; Obama and the Democrats are spending the wealth of the next generation. Yet we are the "extremists?"
We are trying to save it! We genuinely love this country the way it was founded. We are trying to defend it, preserve it, and save it! We are the "extremists" Mr. Schumer?
Fine! If we the people are "extremists" then by God let there be more of us!
Chuck
