President Obama, The Great Conservative
Posted: September 8, 2009, 11:47PMToday is a great day for America. The President of the United States delivered an inspiring, uplifting and conservative message of personal responsibility and accountability to the school children of America.
This was 100% conservatism. The President delivered a conservative and an American message today through and through. I’ll concede, however, that there were a few niches here and there in the address that bordered liberal policy, but for all intent and purposes, those are chump change as to the core of President Obama’s speech.
Now, I know there are those out there thinking, “We’ve heard this before,” and “Nice try, Mr. President!” Of course, they speak for the millions of like-minded individuals who had voted for President Obama because of his moderate and centrist, sometimes conservative campaign he ran last year. And now they have come to see in less than a year that it was all a disingenuous act of rhetoric, lies and deception. President Obama had adopted a language necessary so as to fool enough people to vote for him as someone who he is not. He said what the people wanted to hear, not what he believed, and they bought it hook, line and sinker. It worked.
So, I understand why critics are flooding the airwaves and talk show circuit who naturally don’t want to fall for it again. They know the mantra, “Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.” Nobody desires to be the fool.
Any compassionate individual can understand why these Americans are suspicious of a president who has rammed radical, far-left, extreme and unconstitutional policy through congress and down America’s throats at record speed. Any compassionate individual can understand why Americans are suspicious of this conservative speech when immediately following a campaign of moderate and conservative promises he takes off the day after inauguration to the Middle East to apologize to our enemies, to apologize to Islamic fascists, to tyrants and terrorists for America. It was as if he were texting them with his Blackberry, an item that he didn’t want to surrender as President under security rules by the way, that they can relax, sit tight and he’ll be there soon to clear the air. We continue to watch him apologize for the United States everywhere he steps foot on foreign soil.
Yes, I’m fully aware that our President thinks that the United States is an unfair country, he even makes that known in his conservative speech to the children in class today, and he is among those in this world who believe that the United States, after everything we’ve done for so many millions of people in Her short time in existence, are indebted to the world for simply leading a free and noble cause built from within. We did not commandeer our country or our prosperity by force. We earned it. We are homegrown.
We all have watched President Obama wipe out every job that President Bush had created. We can only sit and watch helplessly as he and his democrat-controlled congress pass reckless legislation after reckless legislation sinking the treasury into unsustainable dept.
We know that he knows that inflation and economic catastrophe is in our near future if this doesn’t stop now and we wonder why he isn’t a bit concerned. Many of us, in fact, realize that this is deliberate, that he wants as much dependence on government as possible, high unemployment, a weakened and cash-depleted private sector, and total control of people’s lives via a health care gimmick. Many of us knew these were his intentions when he campaigned on change.
Many Americans are suspicious of President Obama’s refreshing conservative message of responsibility, free American enterprise and self-dependence to our children in their classrooms today because we all witnessed the unimaginable horror of the bully pulpit and Chicago thug politics in full display as President Obama unconstitutionally muscled into a private industry and fired the CEO of General Motors. It’s obvious to all of us how brazen he is the way he injected bigger government into the private sector that has lead us down a path of chaos and communist-like rule unlike anything this country has ever witnessed.
Sure, I know he’s done all that, but I’m going to give him the benefit of the doubt. Look, I did not fall for anything he said nor believed a word of his campaign because I knew President Obama’s history and life story. I saw the warning signs like the radicals, communists and far-leftists with whom he aligned himself his entire life, with whom he launched his political career, with whom he learned and studied under. He sat in a church with a racist and angry preacher for 20 years. I know all that.
I know, too, that President Obama is a self-proclaimed anti-constitutionalist by virtue of his own admission. Why, he has devoted an entire chapter in his book, The Audacity of Hope, on how he believes the constitution is flawed and morally wrong, (yet he contradicts his own statements with examples meant to defend his premises).
This is all out there for everyone to see, so it’s understandable that there is an uproar and a guilty-until-proven-innocent charge now leveled against President Obama by scarred Americans. Americans voted for his promise of hope and change. They thought change meant that he intended to fix everything, to have their mortgages paid, their utilities paid, their cars gassed up with someone else’s money; President Obama promised America to rely on government, not the free enterprise system or self preservation and independence, and if we did that, he would take care of everything. He and his big government would save the day for the victims of America. Everything would be fine. He even promised to lower the seas. Instead, most Americans got blind-sided.
Naturally, then, why would anyone believe that he meant a word of his inspiring and conservative message to our children across America today and that he will govern as such? Well, I for one do. I believe that the real change is now the President himself. While I did not fall for his campaign rhetoric last fall, I believe President Obama now. Why? It is very simple and follows the basic principle of human dignity. Last fall he was speaking to adults, he was lying and deceiving adults and voters in a political campaign. He was good at it and he had his supporters believing everything he had said, not their own eyes. Today, President Obama spoke to children. He spoke to America’s children. He spoke to their heart.
I ask every American who is suspicious, understandably so for reasons I have outlined above, of President Obama’s conservative and noble speech, to look deep inside each and every one of your souls and ask yourself if you truly believe that President Obama can manipulate himself into our schools and use our children to tell such a deceiving lie as they sit in the middle of the day away from the protection, love and security of their parents, while in the sanctuary of the American classroom, a place of trust and safety second only to their home, a place where a parent and child sever the umbilical cord of intimate protection, unconditional love, sacrifice and responsibility for the first time on that first day of school in Kindergarten, so that he can begin damage control for the worst month of his presidency and on the eve of his national, primetime congressional address on national health care?
Where is our compassion and understanding?
I don’t want to believe our president is capable of such a sinister deed. Something so low and unbecoming of any human being that I would not believe my own ears had I heard dictators in communist regimes pull such a heartless and cruel political prank.
I believe there is change and hope now and that change and hope is President Obama. I believe that President Obama is now going to change his way of governing completely to send an example to America’s children, to the most innocent among us who heard their President speak of everything that is good for them, that is good for this country and that has worked for 200 years that has made this country the best place to live and grow than anywhere else in the history of mankind.
I believe that every child out there who has renewed hope in their lives now, after such an American and uplifting conservative speech given by their president, can believe in that hope. For that hope is inspired by a President's word to the most innocent among us. The President of the United States has inspired our children through words of personal strength, dependability, and independent responsibility in a fair and free country.
Every child and every adult in America should feel uplifted and transcended now because there has not been one complaint that the President of the United States in the year 2009 went into the classroom (legally or not) and uttered the word God to the children in the public school system without any outcry from the radical liberal left. That is hope and change that only President Obama can create.
I believe that President Obama took two weeks off from a torturous summer and discovered something special, something magical about himself, about America and about his role as President. For his gift is not that of a great orator, but that of a man who can turn catastrophe into hope. A man who can change a terrible mistake into a wonderful and uplifting fight toward prosperity and freedom. I believe the President today because he showed us he is willing to try by taking a first step and quietly removing the radical communist and "Green Jobs" czar, Van Jones, from our White House over the Labor Day weekend when nobody was watching. Humility is contageous.
By telling the children this in his conservative speech today as they sat alone and away from their home with the full trust of their parents in the hands of their mentors, and for a short time to the President of the United States, opens the door to a new world of hope and change for America that President Obama can own and unleash into his presidency.
President Obama told our children today that he will toss the “stimulus” package out the window, put the people’s hard earned money back into their pockets, lower their taxes so they can responsibly spend that money on things they need, and he’ll lower the tax burden and tax bracket on small businesses and on capital gains so they can make more things that people can buy and in the process hire more people to make all those things and now we have more people working thus creating more tax payers!
President Obama told the children of America in their classrooms today that he will apologize not to our enemies, but to those who he scared with his immature playground bullying and give the auto companies back to America and the private sector. He should write a note to the CEO of GM that he was sorry for firing him, that he had no right to do it and that he will no longer interfere in their business. And he should also tell them to not come to him for help from the American people’s piggy bank and instead run your business better!
President Obama told our children today that tomorrow in his address to congress and to mommy and daddy across the fruited plain that he will listen to the people of America who were so mad at him for trying to pull the plug on grandma and ration care and take over our most personal and intimate decisions of our lives with a government run health care system that he has learned his lesson now after two weeks of thinking about all the bad things he did and will allow the free market, individual states and the people to determine their own health care needs. In doing so, he is allowing personal responsibility, inspiring hope in the free enterprise system and allowing the people to make their own responsible decisions. That will create a competitive environment that will keep prices down for everyone!
I believe President Obama today. Nobody could have the audacity to come into our children's classrooms, lie to our children about something as important as personal responsibility and education just to try to stop the bleeding in the polls and set up the most important speech of his presidency on the most important issue of his presidency.
I believe President Obama will give the moms and dads of America the conservative message on health care tomorrow night that he promised their children in their classrooms today.
I believe this is a great day for America because real hope and change is just beyond our horizon. President Obama, the conservative. It has a nice ring to it, I think. I mean, come on. Surely, no president would ever outright lie to the children of his country as they sit innocently in the true sanctuary away from home, in the classroom, away from mom and dad . . .
Would he?

Before I comment, I have to say I am sure most students across America were thrilled to hear President Obama speak to them. I think when I was their age I would have felt so honored. Well, maybe, considering I made signs protesting the election of a peanut farmer I don't think I would have necessarily been thrilled to listen to President Carter, so maybe that statement isn't exactly true. If it would have been President Reagan speaking, that's a completely different story! But to be fair, with all partisanship aside, I think most students probably walked away with a good feeling.
To the real point. Never have I ever read such a sarcastic diatribe against a president. Bravo! Of course, the answer is yes he would. As with his other speeches he tells people what they want to hear, while leaving clues sprinkled throughout of what he really thinks. My youngest child thought it was a brainwashing session for socialism. I guess he read between the lines. I suppose it's all in the eyes of the beholder, we can only hope the majority of the viewers had their eyes wide open!

We can only hope more children were like Cynthia's and were able to read between the lines. Was this not a complete set-up from the beginning? Go and talk to our nation's youngest minds, then hit the american people with the BIG speech. Was it me or did the president seem just a little angry during his speech to Congress? Talk about bi-partisanship, I think that ship has sailed and not from the right, but from the left!

As a retired teacher who actually taught instead of supervised the propaganda supplied by those who sell school districts curriculum, I can assure you that public education has become the entry point for Socialist propaganda.
I taught my finally 5 years in Texas, had one Caucasian during that time and the vast majority of my students were illegals.
I will say that many were great children just looking for someone to inspire them. That being said they still were illegals and feeding at the public trough.
I insisted that ONLY English be spoken, that parents showed up in my classroom at least once every six weeks and fully participate in the education of their child.
Education should include teacher parent and student........................certainly no accident a triad.
Gods plan should exist in every aspect of our lives.
We need to limit government interference in all areas except those specifically mentioned in the constitution.
WE are Realists NOT alarmists or terrorists...........................................OUR country has been victimized for too many years.
TIME TO TAKE IT BACK.

Was Obama using his speech to school kids as a way to get his message out? Sure he was. Have the last few presidents republican or democraat done the same thing? Yes they have. While it is a baltant misuse of office in an attempt to garner public spot light and free press I have to ask were some of the people who are so upset have been over our shool system as a whole.
We have a bad habit of ignoring these things when it is our political party doing them andthen acting as though blasphemy has been commintted when the other does them. Lets get passionate and upset about the school system as an entity. Lets be upset about the low graduation rates, the teaching of theory instead of fact, the use of the class room as an ideaology indoctrination center instead of a place of learning.
Then lets all agree to ban the use of our schools for any use by any politicain for a personal gain. No speeches to the schools, no use of them as a back drop for campaign commercials. I see a lot of comments about lets take back our country, I agree buit that measn we take it back from all of the politicians, dems and republicans, from the loca; through the nationa level. Fire them all and show the government who the real boss is. With out that we won't be bale to take it back.
