Ideology Challenge Room
You have entered our Ideology Challenge Room where we attempt to simplify, quite rudimentarily in fact, the differences between conservatism and liberalism.
If you have not yet done so, put on your hard hat because thinking is what we do here. In fact, critical thinking is all we do here in our Ideology Challenge Room.
Ideology challenge is an exercise of ideological knowledge. It is a challenge to be able to compare and contrast the principles of conservatism vs. liberalism. It is a challenge to be able to recognize conservative policy as it relates to the Constitution and defend it against the radical leftist’s and liberal’s assault on our Constitution.
Our Constitution is being neglected and threatened today unlike it has ever been since it’s ratification. What is most disturbing is how easily it is happening right in front of our eyes. That is because our enemies on the left are emboldened.
Their most powerful weapon is an uninformed people. It is this lack of ideological knowledge that emboldens them. It is this lack of ideological knowledge that empowers them.
We believe that by understanding the fundamental principles of liberalism and conservatism we can defend our Constitution and strip the liberal left of their power to control the people.
That is the purpose of our Ideology Challenge Room.
There is not a more striking contrast between two presidents representing their respective ideologies than President Ronald Reagan and President Barack Obama.
A solid conservative, President Reagan profoundly respected the Constitution and our Founding Fathers. There is no dispute. A radical liberal, President Obama believes we are restrained by our Constitution, as he suggests in his book, The Audacity of Hope. The checks and balances of the Constitution were built in to protect us from the destructive policies of a radical liberal and socialist president.
Because of an overwhelming democrat majority in Congress, President Reagan wanted a well-informed and engaged public so that he could articulate and promote conservative policy.
President Obama needs an uninformed and unengaged public to articulate and promote radical liberal and socialist policy. So, why does President Obama need an uninformed and unengaged public to promote a radical liberal agenda?
Rudimentary example: Let us assume that you are uninformed about math. You go to a math conference and an articulate, eloquent, dynamic and charming speaker says, “2+2=0!” and the room erupts with applause. So, you applaud too because it sounded so great. It must be right.
Now, let us assume that you are well informed about math and you are in the same room when the same articulate, eloquent, dynamic and charming speaker says, “2+2=0!” How will you react?
As an informed public, President Reagan knew that by going to the people and articulating conservative policy based on conservative principles that he would be able to move conservative legislation through the democrat majority House and Senate because he knew that liberty and freedom, limited government, entrepreneurial spirit and policies that promote personal growth rather than government growth appeal to everyone and are everyone’s natural desires and interests.
Political pressure forced congress to work with him. His legacy is well documented as you will see in our Ronald Reagan Room.
President Obama, on the other hand, must have an uninformed and unengaged public.
When he articulates a radical and liberal agenda as in, “Only government can solve this crisis,” or “2+2=0” in his articulate, eloquent, dynamic and charming voice the uninformed will erupt in a raucous applause while the informed who understand the timeless principles of conservatism and the dangers of radical liberalism and socialism as spelled out in Chicago community organizer Saul Alinsky’s, Rules for Radicals, are appalled and incredulous.
Had President Obama campaigned as a radical leftist as he is governing now, he would have lost in a landslide. We cannot exclude, either, the impact that the media has had on misinforming the public on President Obama.
The broad difference between conservatism and liberalism is that conservatism is intellectually-driven based on critical thinking while liberalism is emotionally-driven based on well-intended policies.
Conservatives support policies that promote personal growth. Liberals support policies that promote government growth.
Conservatives believe in rewarding achievers and excellence. Liberals believe in punishing achievers and excellence.
Conservatism and liberalism are time-tested principles. History has proven that conservatism works every time it is tried and liberalism fails every time it is tried.
From here we recommend a visit to our Conservative Policy Room where we offer conservative solutions to domestic and foreign policy.
